In 2002, I had been in intense pain for almost a month, not only with pain in my lower back but also with shooting, stabbing pains down my right leg and into my foot. By the time I took the advice of three of my neighbors and struggled into Dr. Ellen Rencher’s office, I was in tears, begging for help and relief. After studying X-rays and MRI that showed a herniated disk squeezing my sciatic nerve, Dr. Rencher assured me that it would take time, but she could alleviate my pain and my problem.
The gloomy alternative, was surgery, since the surgeons warned me that after surgery no more regular workouts or golf ?!! I decided then and there to commit to Dr. Ellen’s chiropractic treatment. There was something very reassuring and positive about Dr. Ellen’s approach, and although she cautioned that it would take time, the results would be a body free of pain and the ability to get back out on the golf course.
It did take time, but I am pleased to report that I am now free of pain, am back at the club doing a full workout routine, and I’m playing golf once again.
One of the hardest aspects of my treatment was to remain steadfast in my resolve to remain committed to chiropractic when so many of my well-meaning friends attempted to either dissuade me or insist that I seek other remedies or succumb to surgery. These friends now see my “cure” as nothing short of a miracle. Today, I am positive I chose not only the correct treatment, but also the best chiropractor! Dr.Rencher is truly a dedicated, concerned and knowledgeable professional.
Fast forward 8 years to 2010….. I’m still a loyal patient of Dr. Ellen’s, but visit less often just to keep my back and my whole body feeling ‘healthy’. I continue my workouts at the club,….and my golf games??..…FREE OF PAIN!
